1. It’s not just about a few keywords.

Contrary to what you might’ve heard, local search marketing is about a lot more than just adding a few geographic keywords to your business website. Although that is one small step in the process, the right creative team will also help you create location-specific pages, add maps and directions to your website, and even put together comprehensive campaigns that help you attract buyers from your own area. This is the difference between building a house and just painting one; don’t fall for the trap of thinking that just anyone can give you what you need in a few hours.

2. Emphasizing the local market means faster ROI and more long-term profitability.

In nearly every business and industry, the best, most loyal, and most profitable customers come from a relatively small geographic area. And so, even though focusing on your local market might seem like you’re excluding big chunks of buyers, the reality is that it’s usually the smart approach for your bottom line. After all, if you can spend less money reaching the men and women who are likely to purchase from you again and again, isn’t that a smart investment?

3. Modern local marketing is so much more effective than print directories and coupons ever were.
